I enjoy the process of making pottery.  Every step from beginning to end offers a challenge, a reward and maybe even a grumble and enables me to make each pot have a unique character all it's own.

Whether it is a bowl, glass, tray, vase or jar there is always an opportunity to push the limits and try something different and make something new and exciting or practical and useful as well as appealing to the eye.

Quite frankly some days it is only to amuse me and make my days in the studio enjoyable.

I hope you see something that you like or amuses you or you see something that makes you go "hmm" what was she thinking!

ABOUT

The studio opened in the summer of 2013.

My family gave me lessons for my birthday about twenty years ago and I have been creating with clay ever since.

I found the process of throwing on the wheel daunting to say the least, frustrating and aggravating is more the reality.

I am forever grateful to my teacher and mentor for handing me a rolling pin and saying that there was more than one way to make a pot and I should give working with slabs a go.

That was my lightbulb moment as they say.

Molding and pinching and coiling and manipulating the slabs of clay with my hands is my happy place.
